Welcome!

Freedom Bass Anglers is Proudly Affiliated with The Maryland Bass Federation

Freedom Bass Anglers was formed at the beginning of 2009, with 11 charter members. All of our founding members have fished together for multiple years and we live by the motto..."Keep the Fun in Fishin". The Club's founding principles were to hold tournaments with an equal emphasis on Fishing, Supporting the Youth of our community, and to preserve our environment and contribute to it's conservation.

Club Tournaments

Freedom Bass Anglers holds 9 or 10 Tournaments per year. All tournaments are of the DRAW Format. That is the Boaters and non-Boaters are paired by random drawing.

Youth Activities

The future of our sport is it's youth. The Club supports the Youth in our communities by sponsoring a local childrens fishing derbys and functions throughout the year. Freedom Bass Anglers, in cooperation with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources "Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs" program, will provide events at the Harford Glen Environment Center. Click onto Youth Activities to see what the "Kids" are up to. If you have a Organization or related business interested in sponsoring a Casting Kids competition at your location, contact our Youth Director at youthdirector@freedombassanglers.com

Conservation

Freedom Bass Anglers will hold an annual "Clean up Day" on historic Garrett Island. The Club members scour the shores removing items as small as a soda can to as large as a 250 gallon fuel oil tank. Members of the Freedom Bass Anglers also participate in the Perch Spawn Survey each spring.

The Club Goals For 2009:

To improve our skills as anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of fishing techniques and ideas, to promote and encourage youth fishing through the Junior Bass Club and Casting Kids events, environmental awareness, and to increase the general public's awareness about environmental issues.
